The Woman’s Hospital of Texas and Dr. Juan Carlos Medrano helped parents Claudia Aguilar and Jorge Espinoza welcome their twins, Ezequiel Octavius and Divia Elaine into the world at 5:55 and 5:56 a.m. The twins are the first babies born at Woman’s in 2013. Ezequiel weighs 4 lbs., 10 oz. and is 17 inches long, while Divia weighs 4 lbs., 14 oz. and is 17 ¼ inches long.

The Woman’s Hospital of Texas Welcomes Its Record-Breaking Baby Number 10,000

For the first time in The Woman’s Hospital of Texas history, the hospital delivered 10,000 babies in one year. Becky and Chris Kiser welcomed their daughter Moriah into the world at 1:08 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 28. Moriah weighs seven pounds, six ounces and is 20.25 inches long.

The adorable first grader delivered handmade holiday cards and stuffed animals to the hospital’s APU patients on Saturday, Dec. 22.

The Woman’s Hospital of Texas helped Jessica and Christian Sommer welcome their first son Christian Daniel Sommer, Jr. into the world at 12:12 pm on 12/12/2012. Christian, weighing 8 lbs., 2 oz., was delivered by Dr. Nicole Tran via Cesarean section.

In its first year to organize a team of riders, The Woman’s Hospital of Texas (TWHT) raised more than $12,000 in donations for the annual Tour de Pink bike ride in Houston. The hospital’s Tour De Pink Team of 25 participants included physicians, staff and their family members.

“Pom the Town Pink:” The Woman’s Hospital of Texas and Strake Jesuit cheerleaders Pair up for Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Strake Jesuit College Preparatory cheerleaders have traded their cheer uniforms for pink football jerseys this October and will distribute pink and green pom poms to fans, friends and family at their games this month. The Woman’s Hospital of Texas donated the jerseys and pom poms to spread awareness about early detection through mammograms, and to honor the memory of loved ones lost to breast and other kinds of cancer.
