Volunteers at The Woman's Hospital of Texas give one of their most valuable assets-time. We offer several enriching volunteer opportunities.

Child Life Volunteer Opportunities

The Child Life Cuddle Care Program places volunteers on our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) to cuddle and hold infants who need additional attention. This program has limited shifts and may have a waiting list. If accepted, volunteers commit to a specific 3-hour shift each week. Cuddle Care Volunteers must be 21 years old. If you are interested in volunteering for the Child Life Cuddle Care Program, please email Child Life at TWHT.CLVOLUNTEER@HCAHEALTHCARE.COM.

The Child Life Pediatric Unit Program provides playtime opportunities for patients and their siblings in our specially designed playroom. When a patient is unable to go to the playroom, the volunteers may take toys and activities to patient rooms and spend time entertaining our young patients in their room. Volunteers will help clean toys, clean the playroom, organize child life supplies, and other tasks as needed. 4-hour shifts are available Monday-Friday. If you are interested in our Child Life Pediatric Unit Volunteer opportunities, please email Child Life at TWHT.CLVOLUNTEER@HCAHEALTHCARE.COM.

Adult Volunteer Opportunities

The Antepartum Family Support Program matches adult volunteers with our pregnant patients who are on bed rest. Our volunteers offer support, encouragement and comradery to these women in their time of need. Often these volunteers are women who were once on bed rest during their pregnancy as well. If you are interested in the Antepartum Family Support Volunteer Program, please email

Adult Care & Ancillary Support Volunteers provide tremendous value to our hospital staff through administrative office support, assisting our nursing unit secretaries with patient support, and assisting our guests navigate the facility by providing much needed information and guidance in our Surgical Services Family Waiting Rooms. If you are interested in the Adult Care & Ancillary Support Volunteer Program, please email
