Volunteers at The Woman's Hospital of Texas
Volunteers at The Woman's Hospital of Texas give one of their most valuable assets-time.
Opportunities include assisting clerks on the units and in the family surgery waiting rooms, holding babies, and providing administrative support. The Cuddle Care Program places volunteers on our NICU to hold and touch infants who need additional attention. (We ask for at least a six-month commitment.)
The Junior Volunteer Program operates two months during the summer, beginning in June and ending in August. To be eligible for this program, a student must be 14-years-old by January 1, and be in good standing at his or her high school. The number of juniors we can accommodate is limited. Applications are available in mid-March and due in mid-April.

March of Dimes Volunteers
- We partner with the March of Dimes of Houston for two volunteer projects. The Antepartum Family Support Program matches volunteers with mothers on bed rest. Often these volunteers are women who were on bed rest themselves.
- The NICU Family Support Program volunteers provide parent-to-parent support to families within the NICU setting.
