Houston, TX – The Woman's Hospital of Texas, in partnership with the Bilateral Chamber, welcomed delegates from the Sultanate of Oman as part of the Oman Vision 2040. The delegates requested a visit and a tour of The Woman's Hospital of Texas to better understand our best practices and the support needed to provide the highest quality of healthcare to their patients, specifically for women and children services.
The Woman's Hospital of Texas senior leadership team and neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) physician leaders provided an overview of The Woman's Hospital of Texas, HCA Houston Healthcare and information on the requirements to meet the hospital's Level IV NICU designation. Following the presentation, the delegates toured The Woman's Hospital of Texas Level III and IV NICU.
“We were honored that The Woman's Hospital of Texas was selected to provide insight into the best practices for women's and children's healthcare,” said Jeanna Bamburg, CEO of The Woman's Hospital of Texas. “The Woman's Hospital of Texas has a Level IV NICU designation as well as a Level IV Maternal designation along with many other certifications and awards for the elite level of patient care we provide. We are proud to share the talent and infrastructure needed to provide the same level of care to the women and children of Oman.”
Prior to entering into the NICU, the delegates received useful information on The Woman's Hospital of Texas infection prevention practices including the “bare below the elbow” protocol which helps to reduce the spread of germs throughout the NICU for visitors, colleagues, physicians and support team members.
The Woman's Hospital of Texas looks forward to collaborating with the Omani team and helping to develop their women's health services.
