The Woman’s Hospital of Texas Pediatric Center offers comprehensive, convenient pediatric care for routine and preventive visits, as well as sick visits. Our pediatricians, nurses, pediatric surgeons and specialists are specially trained to treat children and teens ages birth to 18.

We also have certified child life specialists who are specially trained to support your child during their hospitalization or treatment. They will help your child by facilitating play opportunities to decrease anxiety and they provide families with information about their child's health issue and they teach effective coping skills.

Our nearly 24,000 square foot, state-of-the-art facility is designed with your child in mind. Our equipment is sized just for children and our waiting and patient rooms are child-friendly and comfortable for our patients and their families.

We have a 14-bed pediatric intensive care unit (PICU), pediatric emergency department and an 18-bed pediatric medical and surgical unit that includes a special play room and teen room. We also have an on-site laboratory, imaging department and pharmacy to ensure your child's diagnosis and treatment are not delayed.

Pediatric services

Not only do our pediatricians provide medical care for acutely or chronically ill children, they also perform preventative services for healthy children, which includes:

  • Care for minor injuries and illnesses
  • Developmental testing and screening
  • Routine school and sports physicals
  • Sick visits for common illnesses or minor injuries
  • Vaccinations
  • Well-child check-ups to monitor your child's development

We provide same-day and next-day pediatric imaging appointments, including procedures such as echocardiograms. Our staff is committed to minimizing radiation to your child and ensuring their time with us is as safe and comfortable as possible.

Ear, nose and throat

We provide diagnostic and treatment options for disorders involving the ears, nose, throat, sinuses, head, neck, vocal cords and airway passages.
