Center of Excellence - Minimally Invasive Gynecology

Woman’s surgical services

In our state-of-the-art operating rooms, our surgeons perform a broad spectrum of inpatient, outpatient, and day surgeries. The Woman's Hospital of Texas is committed to providing minimally invasive surgical options, and the numbers tell the results. Approximately 85 percent of surgeries performed here are minimally invasive – more than double the number the average hospital provides.

Minimally invasive surgery means less blood loss, less pain medication, less scarring and faster recovery. Depending on the procedure, many patients are able to resume normal activities within a week as opposed to the four–to–six weeks' recovery time of traditional surgical methods. Many procedures can even be done on an outpatient basis.
