Ashley McClellan is the Chief Executive Officer at The Woman’s Hospital of Texas – HCA Houston Healthcare, the #1 hospital for women and infants in the state. Since joining The Woman’s Hospital of Texas, McClellan has significantly grown the Pediatric Service Line (opened January 2015), supported record-breaking delivery volumes (#1 in deliveries for the State of Texas), expanded the NICU to 146-beds (#1 for NICU Admissions in the State of Texas), and initiated a Master Campus Expansion Project to expand all services, including expansion of NICU, Post-Partum, and C-Section Suites.
McClellan is from Overland Park, Kansas, and obtained her Bachelor's of Business Administration in Finance and a Bachelor's of Arts in Spanish from Southern Methodist University. She received her Master's in Hospital Administration and Master's in Business Administration from Texas Woman's University. McClellan is a Fellow and Board Certified in the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE). McClellan is passionate about women’s health, maternal care and infant mortality and currently serves as Vice Chair of the Board for the March of Dimes – Greater Houston Market.
McClellan has been named a 2019 Breakthrough Woman by the Greater Houston Women’s Chamber of Commerce. Additionally, she was named one of Houston’s “Most Admired CEOs” by Houston Business Journal in 2018. McClellan was the American College of Healthcare Executives 2018 Robert S. Hudgens Memorial Award Winner for Young Healthcare Executive of the Year and received the 2011 Young Healthcare Executive of the Year award from the Dallas/Fort Worth Hospital Council. McClellan has previously been recognized as a “40 Under 40” young professional by the Houston Business Journal (2016) and the Dallas Business Journal (2010), and was named one of “Houston’s 50 Most Influential Women of 2016” by Houston Woman Magazine.
