Houston, Texas, December 28, 2012-- For the first time in The Woman’s Hospital of Texas history, the hospital delivered 10,000 babies in one year. Becky and Chris Kiser welcomed their daughter Moriah into the world at 1:08 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 28. Moriah weighs seven pounds, six ounces and is 20.25 inches long.
The Kisers are from Houston. Little Moriah’s big sister, Karis, was also born at The Woman’s Hospital of Texas.
“We have been tracking the birth of the 10,000th baby for a couple of months and can’t believe it’s our baby,” Becky Kiser said. “We love The Woman’s Hospital of Texas.”
Baby Moriah was delivered by Dr. Mark Cone, a physician with Obstetrical And Gynecological Associates (OGA). Cone has a long-standing history with The Woman’s Hospital of Texas.
The hospital delivers more babies than any other hospital in Houston, and delivers the second highest number of babies in Texas.

HOUSTON, February 2009 - The Woman’s Hospital of Texas (Woman’s) dedicated its new West Tower with a ribbon cutting ceremony. The West Tower is part of the hospital’s $75 million expansion that adds 145,000 square feet and 92 additional licensed beds.
HOUSTON, December 2008 - The Woman’s Hospital of Texas (Woman’s) had a monumental delivery today with the arrival of its 9,000th baby born in 2008. At 8:57 a.m., parents Oscar and Gabriela Garcia, along with Woman’s, welcomed Kamilah – a healthy, 7 pound 6 ounce baby girl – to the world.

HOUSTON, July 2008 - The Woman’s Hospital of Texas (Woman’s) announced today it is ranked in U.S. News & World Report’s 2008 survey of America’s top 50 best hospitals for gynecologic care. For a second consecutive year, Woman’s earned one of two spots awarded to institutions located near the Texas Medical Center.
