Giving birth is just the beginning! Caring for your baby starts right away and continues for a long time, and we are here to help.
During your pregnancy, you may take advantage of our “Life with Baby” class, where you will learn basic baby care skills, as well as some effective means to help a crying baby. “Breastfeeding Basics and Beyond: Defining Your Own Success” will help you understand the principles of successful breastfeeding. In addition it covers breast pumping and human milk storage, to help you combine breastfeeding with your active lifestyle. “Infant CPR and Safety” provides parents and other caregivers with the American Heart Association’s “Friends and Family” course on infant CPR and choking.
After your baby is born there are three support groups here for you each week, in addition to the monthly meeting of La Leche League (the international breastfeeding support organization). All the support groups are free of charge, require no registration, and parking is validated. It will be good to get out of the house and talk with other new parents as well as knowledgeable group facilitators.
