Childbirth Classes

Our childbirth classes prepare you for the physical and psychological changes that come with pregnancy, labor, birth and parenthood. Our Prepared Childbirth 4-class series offers the most time to practice labor coping skills. Our Prepared Childbirth 2-class series offers less time to learn labor coping skills and less time for discussion. Our Fast Track Childbirth Class offers the least time to practice labor coping skills, but may be just right for couples who want a refresher.

All childbirth classes include a hospital tour and cover these topics:

  • Preterm labor, signs of labor and the labor process
  • Fetal monitoring
  • Induction of labor and pain medication options
  • Assisted vaginal delivery (episiotomy, forceps, vacuum extractor)
  • Cesarean birth
  • Postpartum recovery and lifestyle changes

Bring 2 pillows to class. Cost: $85 per couple for any of these classes.
